We only sell pond plants that are totally hardy and are not harmed by the pond freezing.
We grow all of our plants outside, so they can be planted into your pond as soon as they arrive, whatever the season.
Pond plants need room to grow, so all our plants are supplied bare-rooted with good foliage and root growth for the time of year and are ready to pot on. Any plants in small pots that you may buy from other suppliers must be re-potted immediately to give them room to grow.
The plants you order will be lifted and prepared on the morning of dispatch.

As all plants are lifted for each individual order, we ask for payment before we dispatch.
We normally ask for payment with your order placed through the shop on our web site. If you have any problems in navigating the payment section, please do call us on 01684 310950 and we will call you back as soon as we can. Please note that we are usually working outside in the nursery so you may need to leave a message with your contact details on our answerphone.
All payments are through PayPal’s secure online system where you can pay directly from you PayPay account or by debit or credit card. We do not accept payment by American Express.
For larger or more complex orders we will provide a pro forma invoice showing our bank details and invite you to pay by BACS.
Our standard delivery charge is £7.50 per order to anywhere within the UK and Channel Islands.
We normally ship all orders within three working days of receipt of order. We normally dispatch on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays so that plants are not kept in a sorting office over the weekend. The only time that this may not be possible is during the winter months and/or as a result of adverse weather conditions.
Smaller orders of plants are usually dispatched via Royal Mail First Class Post. Large orders are shipped by Parcel Force 48hour courier service. Delivery to Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland may take an extra day or two. Orders sent via Parcel Force can be tracked at http://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/tracking using the tracking number we will send to you when we dispatch your order.
Delivery outside the UK is to the Republic of Ireland and EU mainland countries and only. Royal Mail express international delivery incurs an additional charge of £7.50 per 2kg. Please note we cannot send snails or planting crates outside the UK mainland and Channel Islands.
Plant varieties are individually packed in plastic bags and can be kept in shade for a few days without deterioration. All cartons are marked “Urgent! Live Plants” and with your own specific delivery instructions (if given). If you don’t give us any instructions we mark the carton “If out please leave by front door”.
A signature is not required for Royal Mail First Class Post but is required by Parcel Force, so we will always let you know when we dispatch your order who will be delivering to you.
If you have any particular delivery requirements, please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.

As all plants shown on our web site are currently available, if you are looking to buy a plant that is not currently on our web site, please contact us to check on future availability.
All plants supplied by mail order are bare-rooted. All plants are guaranteed to be true to name and viable at the point of dispatch. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee their future growth and vigour because these circumstances are beyond our control. If you are having a problem with a particular plant please contact us, we are here to help.
Every care will be taken so that your order arrives complete and in good condition. If you have any complaints, please advise us by telephone within 48 hours of receipt.
Your rights to cancellation of an order are as per the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
All payments made on line are made directly through PayPal so payment may be made by Debit or Credit Card or via your own PayPal account. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, or any other means, please contact us for details.
