Description

Known as the orchid or Chinese pagoda primula because of the red hot poker shaped flowers, this unusual primula is found growing naturally wild in moist mountain areas in China.

Top tip:  Provides a real talking pint when grown in groups and adds a real splash of colour through to late Summer.

Flowers: May – July

Height: 35-45cm

Propagation: Divide plants.

Soil conditions: Best planted out in dappled shade.

Planting:  Rich, moist soil with plenty of organic content.
