This plant is shallow rooted, so just firm the plant on top of the soil somewhere where it won’t be washed away.
Top tip: Grow in a basket in the pond as long as the soil is just at the waterline.
Flowers: Late May – August
Propagation: Divide plants.
Soil conditions: Rich, moisture retaining and shady.
Planting: Best planted out somewhere where it is kept continually wet, but can be a 5lt planting crate using heavy garden loam with the water level at or just below the top of the soil.
